In operation since 1984, the Italian Language and Culture Center Torre di Babele is a school specializing in teaching Italian to foreigners, authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education. The school is located in the central and elegant Art Nouveau neighbourhood near La Sapienza University of Rome, the historical park Villa Torlonia and the main train station Termini.

Based on their level, participants can acquire a basic knowledge of the Italian language or improve and perfect the knowledge they already have. Courses can be held either in the morning from 8.50 am to 12.40 pm or in the afternoon from 14.10 pm to 18.00 pm.

The mini-group offers the possibility to further pursue and perfect the material covered in the first part of the lesson. Courses can be held either in the morning from 8.50 am to 12.40 pm or in the afternoon from 14.10 pm to 18.00. The additional minigroup lesson is held either after the morning course or before the afternoon course.

Having very little italian knowledge, being what i consider a absoulute begginer, I feel the first 2 days where a waste for me, i had no idea what the teacher was saying and no idea what the excersises involved. After the first 2 days i was told there was a slightly lower class. This suited me much better although as i say i feel i missed 2 days. But i can't fault the teachers and the school is lovely.
